Connecting Panasonic BDM-60P-K to internet to download firmware

I got this Blu-Ray player as a holiday gift. My wireless router (Belkin N+) is upstairs in my house and the Blu-Ray player and TV, etc. to which it is connected is downstairs. Other than unplugging the player, bringing it ipstairs and connecting it to the router via wired ethernet cable in order to download the firmware for BD-Live, what is the easiest and least expensive way to get the firmware downloaded into the player? Thanks in advance.

Thanks. Burning a CD seems like a simple solution.

Robert,

One method is to download firmware on computer, burn a CD and insert that in the player. The player will automatically update firmware.

Page http://www.rayinblu.com/blu-ray-wireless will give you ideas on how to connect the player to network for firmware update. Please note that you must have memory in the player in order to perform network update. Since you have wireless-N, you may want to get a wireless-N "bridge" or "AP Client" for your player.
