Getting message, "Please update your PS3 Media Server"
Hello,
I have recently acquired my production Ray-In-Blu Disk. I then proceeded to run it on my BD Player and it downloaded the updates and showed the demo formats of Big Buck Bunny quite well. I then proceeded to install the Render edition of PS3 Media Center from the following url:
I then was able to install it and start scanning some media folders. Once that completed I then started up my BD Player into Ray-In-Blu. I see the prompt as it boots that its downloading updates. Then alas I see the main screen and the scrolling text at the bottom. Then I notice that the scrolling text reports that its found my PS3 Media Server host but that its the wrong version and needs to be updated. For the exact text see below:
"Please update your PS3 Media Server Windows_XP_5.1, UPNP/1.0, PMS/1.21.01-parrott"
Note: I originally installed PS3 Media Server - Render on my main Ubuntu host and received the same message. Then thinking that it was some bug specific to the Linux build I proceeded to install it on a Windows box, and got the same message as above.
I then did some digging on the Forums and found the following post:
http://www.rayinblu.com/forum/thread/ps3-media-server-update-july-20
This post mentions that there is now a new version of PS3 Media Server, PMS/1.21.02, that needs to be used. However, I can not find any mention of how to download that specific version anywhere on rayinblu.com. Please update the urls on the site to allow for downloading this new version.
Also in the future, it might be nice if you included a similar update function directly in the host server. This way you can push out new versions seamlessly with the new client version.
Thanks,
-David

This was caused by a release script using the older release version. It has been fixed. Version 1.21.02 is the version of the download.
