I'm getting a message stating "Another media renderer other than PS3 has been detected"
My setup is a linksys wrt54g router, my desktop which is running PS3 server is wireless, and my bluray player (mvbd2520) is wired to my router. I've tried messing with the config settings but nothing really changes. Most i've got from the transcoding buffer was 59 bytes? My bluray player will display but will not connect. I'm looking forward to getting this solved so I can enjoy this wonderful software you guys have worked so hard on. Thank you

1. It is common to see message "Another media renderer other than PS3 has been detected" on PS3 Media Server - Rendr Edition if you have another other UPNP/DLNA client on the network (e.g. Win 7 has one built in).
2. Rendr does not use transcoding buffer at all - we don't know who and what are those 59 bytes.
Make sure you are running the latest version of PS3 Media Server - Rendr Edition from our website. The standard version of PS3 Media Server does not know how to send video to Rendr.
Rendr disc should display "Help - No server Found" if no server is found. Are you seeing that?
Yes, the rendr disc is displaying "Help - No server Found". My connection settings for my desktop (wireless) is 192.168.1.100 and my bluray player (wired) is 192.168.1.102, default gateway: 192.168.1.1. Should my desktop be wired or does that matter. Also, i noticed the log says it can't find the mac address, so it assigns a random one. In the configuration setttings it has where I can use either software loopback option or my wireless N adapter. Thank you rayinblu for your prompt response
Server being connected on wireless vs wired only affects video download speed, nothing else.
The MAC address message on PS3 Media Server is generated all the time.
Which configuration setting are you talking about loopback vs wireless N? For PS3 Media Server - Rendr Edition, we suggest you first try with the default settings.
