Support for connecting Blu-ray player to network

I'm getting a message stating "Another media renderer other than PS3 has been detected"

My setup is a linksys wrt54g router, my desktop which is running PS3 server is wireless, and my bluray player (mvbd2520) is wired to my router. I've tried messing with the config settings but nothing really changes. Most i've got from the transcoding buffer was 59 bytes? My bluray player will display but will not connect. I'm looking forward to getting this solved so I can enjoy this wonderful software you guys have worked so hard on. Thank you

LG BD370 and Edimax 7206apg access point can see internet but can't see media server

Hi

I have an Edimax 7206apg acccess point configured wirelessly. It has an IP on the range of my router, dns and gateway is router ip address. LG BD370 connects to edimax dynamically and is also being given an IP within the range of the routers IP range via DHCP which points at the router. Edimax is in infrastructure mode.

Connecting Panasonic BDM-60P-K to internet to download firmware

I got this Blu-Ray player as a holiday gift. My wireless router (Belkin N+) is upstairs in my house and the Blu-Ray player and TV, etc. to which it is connected is downstairs. Other than unplugging the player, bringing it ipstairs and connecting it to the router via wired ethernet cable in order to download the firmware for BD-Live, what is the easiest and least expensive way to get the firmware downloaded into the player? Thanks in advance.

MAC filtering

I am running a wireless network at home and using MAC filtering to only allow my two computers and my Wii to access this network. Does the Linksys WGA600N adapter come with its own MAC address so I can input it into my wireless router management program??.

Help with Samsung BD-P3600 (wireless) and sony BDP-N460 (wired)

I have been through 4 Blu-ray players and all have had the same issue. I am now down to the Samsung BD-P3600 using their wireless dongle in one room and a Sony BDP-N460 wired with a Cat6 cable to my router (which is a Kyocera KR2 EVDO router). All players that I have tried (included another Samsung and an Insignia) connected to the router and were assigned IP addresses, had the proper gateway info, and DNS primary and secondary info as well. However, the Insignia is the only one that would access the internet, and this one would do so intermittently.

Internet connected.

I have a Dlink DIR-615 wireless n router, a Trendnet TEW-647GA wireless n gaming adapter and a Sony BDP-s360 blu ray player. I couldn't get them to connect to the internet, however, I came to this site and it was a lot of help. I connected the gaming adapter to a port on the back of my router, and pressed the WPS button on each of them. When the WPS on the adapter went from flashing to steady it was supposed to be configured. I unplugged it and connected to the player. I did the network configuration and everything works great.

Thanks for the informative site.

Do I have to set the SSID of the bridge that's connected to my Blu-Ray to the same SSID of my wireless router? What the channel?
